Do you love curd baked goods? For me, it’s always something magical. We’ve already made different variations, such as cottage cheese soups and cottage cheese balls. And today we are going to make curd doughnuts.
These doughnuts are very fast and so delicious that they will be devoured by any of your finicky kids. So, if your kids don’t like cottage cheese, make them, don’t hesitate. You can bake them in the oven, but, frankly, they are especially delicious in a deep fryer!
Cooking
- The dough is ready in five minutes. Knead the cottage cheese with a fork, add an egg, salt to balance the taste, sugar, and knead well again.
- We add the baking powder and sifted flour. The leavening agent may seem like a lot, but its taste will not be felt. Although, if you take some noname or homemade on the basis of baking soda and citric acid, I do not guarantee the result, try it yourself.
- Knead the dough until homogeneous, cut it in half.
- Roll out the dough 7 mm thick, grease your hands, rolling pin and table with oil, so it does not stick.
- We cut out donuts with a glass or a pastry ring; do not take a large diameter, as it is tastier.
- We fry them in well heated butter on both sides. For all the details, see video.
- We lay out on a paper towel to remove excess fat. We sprinkle with powdered sugar. And watch as the doughnuts are eaten faster than fried.
